The Innerpeffray Library (Scottish charity: SCO 013843) was founded by David Drummond, 3rd Lord Madderty, in 1680 as Scotland's first lending library. It is no longer a lending library, but the Library's fascinating collection of historic books, housed in a Georgian building beside the beautiful collegiate church of Innerpeffray Chapel, is open to the public and is one of Perthshire's least known but most charming historic attractions. www.innerpeffraylibrary.co.uk
