With foliate scroll engraved four-stage barrel faceted at the flared muzzle and fluted at the breech, signed border engraved flat bevelled lock decorated with foliate scrollwork on the tail, faceted top jaw and steel, the comb of the cock pierced and engraved with a star and circles, the stock engraved with characteristic foliated scrollwork and with line ornament enclosing designs of foliage below the lock, the decoration enriched with silver inlay, ram's horn butt en suite and with a vacant silver escutcheon on both sides, silver button trigger and threaded pricker each engraved as a floret, pierced engraved belt hook, and later ramrod with turned and pierced tip, some rust patination overall
