An early 20th century black opal and diamond pendant
Formed as an oval cabochon-cut black opal suspending a diamond-set marquise-shaped plaque, further suspending an articulated drop set with a pearshaped cabochon-cut opal surrounded by a knife-edge frame interrupted by a series of old round brilliant-cut diamonds, the backchain of belcher-link design, length of chain 44cm, length of pendant 60mm, the opals estimated to weigh approximately 1.00ct and 4.20cts
