The 12 inch gilt brass dial with silvered name plate roundels and chapter ring engraved with Roman and Arabic numerals enclosing a matted centre with subsidiary seconds dial and date aperture, the twin train movement striking a bell, enclosed by an arched hood with 'broken' pediment and blind fretwork panels, above an arched trunk door, on box base and later bracket feet, 221cm high.
