The 36cm blade with faceted back edge single fuller on both sides and long clip back point, carved wood basket weave hilt set with studs, the pommel with white metal cap with central domed boss with four satellite bosses attached by a elongated section, with engraved mounts, contained within its leather covered scabbard with thistle engraved mounts, and companion knife and fork ensuite, the locket engraved 'Presented by the Northern Meeting Duncan McDougall for best performance of Strathspeys & Marches in the Great Highland Bagpipes Sept 1871'.
