the lids by Benjamin Stephens, London, the bases plated
Of shaped oval form, on four rococo style scrolling feet, with corresponding twin handles, the domed shaped lid extending to the removable upper domed section crowned by applied thistle decoration, the lids numbered '7' and '8', with inner plated liner, all with regimental device for the 78th Highlander's and motto 'Cuidich 'N Righ', length 38cm, weight of lids 66oz. (2)
