Each of inverted pear shape on circular foot, the bodies chased and embossed with scrolling foliage, flowerheads and cartouches with engraved monogram, weight 47.5oz. (3)

The inscription on the teapot reads; Presented to Ellis Hodgson Esqr Halifax On his leaving for Australia by a number of his friends in Scotland as a mark of their respect for him as a man of business and as a private friend Haddington 6th Augt. 1858.
