The frontispiece formed as a reeded bar of half pearls between two undulating pearshaped plaques, each with an applied star set centrally with an old cushion-cut diamond and surrounded by half-pearls, the back hinged, with a bloomed finish, inner diameter 60mm, to a fitted case retailed by Hamilton, Crichton & Co, Edinburgh
