A related table appears on page 242, figure 152 dating to 1740-1760 and noting the the comparable 'rough-cut and glued blocks used to fix the top to the base' as 'typical Irish construction'. This table is similarly constructed, and while mention is made of the possible later rounding of the leaves on the Glin Castle example, this table is presented in apparently original condition.
