87cm blade by S.J.Pillin, Manufact. Gerrard St. London, etched with scrolls, crowned Royal Arms and cypher, regimental title, badges and motto, and owner's initials G.V.K., regulation brass gothic hilt incorporating crossed sword and baton, wire bound fish skin grip, in its brass scabbard with two suspension rings.

    who was commissioned in 1878 and saw action in the second Afghan War, in India and Africa. In WW1 he saw service in France and Mesopotamia. He served as Colonel Commandant of the Royal Artillery from 1927-1929. Sold with further details.
