74cm sharply curved unfullered blade double edged towards the point and etched, blued and gilt with scrolling foliage and stands of arms, regulation copper gilt hilt with lion's head pommel, the knuckle guard incorporating a crowned GR cypher superimposed with a rose and with a flaming grenade above, wire bound fish skin grip, in its leather scabbard with engraved copper mounts, two suspension rings, the locket with frog stud.
