An 1803 Pattern Infantry Officer's Sabre
74.5cm blade signed J.J. Runkel, Solingen on the back edge, etched, blued and gilt with foliage, stands of arms, crowned GR cypher and Royal Arms, regulation copper gilt hilt, the knuckle-guard incorporating a crowned Royal Cypher, wire bound fish skin grip, in its engraved brass mounted leather scabbard, two suspension rings, the locket with frog stud, complete with knot of gold and crimson strap and bullion tassel (faded).
