An 1821 Pattern Artillery Officer's Presentation Sword
83cm blade, etched with foliage, a crown, a cannon and presentation inscription, regulation steel three bar hilt, wire bound fish skin covered grip, in its plated steel scabbard, two suspension rings.

  • The inscription reads: Presented to Lieut Henry Ritson by the Non-Commissioned Officers of the 1st Durham Artillery Volunteers as a mark of their esteem, and a recognition of his efficient discharge of duties of acting adjutant and Hon Secy. to the Corps, Jany. 1863.
