88.5cm blade by J. Harvey, Maker, Birmingham, etched with scrolling foliage, crowned VR cypher, stands of arms, and presentation inscription, unusual steel four bar hilt, the backpiece and tail of the inner guard engraved with acorns and oakleaves, wire bound fish skin covered grip, in its steel scabbard, two suspension rings.
