79.5cm unfullered blade with large clipped-back point by Prosser Manufacturer to the King, London, brightly etched on each side against a matt ground with a crown over crossed lances, 'IX Lancers', regulation gilt mounted hilt with two-piece ivory grips, in its maroon velvet covered wood scabbard (recovered) with gilt mounts, two suspension rings.
