97cm unfullered blade with clipped back point by Mayer & Mortimer, Conduit St., London, brightly etched against a matt ground with scrolling foliage and crowned GRV cypher, gilt mounted hilt, the crossguard cast with foliage, the ecusson applied on each side with crowned GRV cypher, two-piece ivory grips, in its plated steel scabbard with gilt mounts decorated with foliage, two suspension rings, complete with sword knot with silver and maroon cord and acorn.
