1st Life Guards, Corporal of Horse's Full Dress Guidon Shoulder Belt
The broad (12cm) belt of blue cloth faced with three bands of gold acorn pattern lace, gilt metal buckle tip and slide of special pattern. The buckle of rococo outline decorated with acorn and oak leaf sprays, the sate '1660' and unit title, 'First Regt of Life Guards'. The slide with acorn and oak leaf patterning, and the tip displays a laurel and acanthus leaf outline, St. Edward's crown on a part star and the battle honours, 'Waterloo/June/1815' and 'Peninsula'. The belt is lined with white cloth and bears two fastening straps. Very good condition.
