Comprising an 1871 pattern helmet the plated skull with brass fittings and the QEC frontal plate in brass and white metal. Correct pattern plume holder and base and large brass side ornaments, graduated brass chin chain, soft leather sweat band and liner. Correct pattern red horse hair plume. The blue cloth tunic with scarlet facings, gold lace trim and anodised buttons, the left arm bears the embroidered gold eagle badge of the former 1st Royal Dragoons. White buckskin breeches, white leather pough belt with scarlet flask cord. The black leather pouch is fitted with a gilding metal KC Royal Arms badge. Regulation back and breast plates with brass fastening straps (one brass stud missing from the breast plate). Gold cord aiguilettes. Black leather full length boots complete with plated spurs and chains. White leather gauntlets, a blue canvas sword belt with white leather slings, very good overall condition.
