A very fine quality early EIIR example. The German silver skull with brass trim and all other fittings in good quality gilt metal. The QEC frontal plate with central silver beaded star this overlaid with a gilt pierced Garter on a blue enamel backing, the St. George's Cross in red enamel within a gilt frame. Very fine gilt large rose pattern side ornaments and graduated velvet lined gilt chin chain. The plume holder in gilt and silver plate complete with red horse hair plume, this having a large gilt rose finial. Tan leather sweat band with attached silk trim.
