5th Royal Irish Lancers a Senior NCOs 1856 Pattern Lance Cap
A good quality post 1902 example, the black leather skull with ribbed red cloth sides to the trencher top, the crown of black leather. The waist band lace of officers' pattern being gold with a central red stripe. The rosette of coiled gold orris cord with a dark green wool front and KC gilding metal button. Standard gilding metal other ranks KC frontal plate, correct pattern brass plume holder and dark green horse hair plume. Lions masks side ornaments and brass chin chain (shortened). Black patent leather sweat band and blue cloth lining. Complete with yellow cord cap lines.
