1st West Riding of Yorkshire Volunteer Artiller (Leeds) Officer's Full Dress Sabretache and Foul Weather Cover c. 1874 - 1901
A very fine and scarce example. Silver train lace encloses a blue cloth face, this is mounted in silver lace and embroidery with the Royal Arms, laurel and oak sprays, a plated metal cannon of post 1874 pattern, silver embroidered '1st' and a large title scroll 'West Riding Yorkshire Vol. Arty.' This on a ground of plum coloured velvet. All three D rings present, the bag of black moroccan complete with all tabs, together with its velvet lined black leather foul weather cover. One small moth hole on the face otherwise in excellent condition (2)
