19th (Princess of Wales's Own) Hussars Officer's Full Dress Sabretache c. 1870 - 1901
Gold train lace with central white stripe (slightly discoloured) enclose a red cloth panel. This is mounted with St. Edward's crown over a VR cypher, below, are large laurel sprays enclosing an Elephant, this in silver embroidery. Battle honour scrolls above and below 'Assaye and Niagara'. These should be on grounds of blue velvet but cleaning of the lace has faded these to pale green. Complete with all three D rings and the red moroccan bag. Very slight staining on the red cloth face otherwise very good condition.
