3rd (King's Own) Hussars Officer's Full Dress Sabretache 1861 - 1901
An extremely fine example, gold train lace with central crimson stripe enclosing a scarlet cloth panel. This is mounted with St. Edward's crown over the VR cypher, below are laurel sprays overlaid with 11 battle honour scrolls, these are on grounds of blue silk. Set in the centre is a circular Garter strap again on a ground of blue silk in the centre of which on a red cloth ground a silver metal White Horse of Hanover. A scroll below the Garter 'Nec Aspera Terrent'. Complete with all three D rings and the red moroccan bag, the inner flap is marked to 'CAP.Burns'. The gold lace in excellent condition, six small moth holes to the front panel and slight worm damage to the red moroccan backing.
