75.5cm blade double edged towards the point and signed J. J. Runkel, Solingen along the back edge, etched, blue and gilt with foliage, stands of arms, crowned GR cypher and the royal arms, gilt stirrup hilt with lion's head pommel, chequered ivory grip (slight chips), complete with sword knot of gold and crimson strap and bullion tassel (worn).
