A pair of 18ct gold cufflinks
Designed with oval polished terminals to chain-link connections, in semi-fitted case signed 'Dudley & Cox, Southsea', together with a set of three cultured pearl dress studs, stamped '18ct', in fitted case signed 'Hamilton & Inches', two mother o' pearl and enamel buttons, a pair of mother o' pearl cufflinks, stamped 'silver', and two dress studs.

  • By family repute, the 18ct gold cufflinks were given to First Sea Lord Sir Roger Backhouse by George VI, who escorted the Duke of Windsor to Portsmouth following his abdication in 1936.
