  • Included in the Lang volume (bound in a fine binding in the style of Sangorski & Sutcliffe) is a 4-page ALS written from a soldier of the "7th Battalion London Reg, 2d London Division, Expeditionary Force, France", dated "25/3/5". He writes "...We are very near the firing line, and in French barracks... Our billet is most comfortable, although they was 13 of us in a very small cottage... We had an inspection by General ?French at the beginning of the week, he seemed satisfied...".
