A collection of scarce ballooning engravings, mostly depicting the ascent made by Jean-Pierre Blanchard at Nuremburg on 12 November 1787. Includes 4 plates (with the colophon and portrait of Blanchard) from "Ausführliche Beschreibung der acht und zwanzigsten Lustreise welche Herr Blanchard den 12 Nov. 1787 zu Nürnberg unternahm und glücklich vollzog" by Johann Mayer; a large plate of the ascent designed and engraved by A.W. Küther; a double-page hand-coloured engraved chart with 2 decorative vignettes (one ballooning) entitled "Zeitchart Geschichte der entworfen von J.H.W. Witschel", Nuremburg, 1801.
