  • An Idyll was performed 13 times at the Bushey School theatre in 1889. Herkomer (1849-1914) wrote the story and music, acted in it, and designed the scenery and costumes in conjunction with his wife and pupils. The music was conducted by the Wagnerian maestro Hans Richter.
