Emma, Lady Hamilton (1765-1815), seated in a landscape, wearing white dress with frilled décolleté, her long hair partially upswept and entwined with apricot ribbon, she holds a spaniel in her folded arms.
Together with three further portrait miniatures as follows: Mrs Braddyl seated in a landscape, wearing white dress with white lace fichu, a pearl bracelet on her right wrist, a black shawl draped about her shoulders, her hair powdered and partially upswept (after Sir Joshua Reynolds, 1723-1792); a Lady seated in a landscape, wearing white dress and fichu, pale pink sash, her blonde hair upswept and entwined with a white headscarf (possibly after John Hoppner, 1758-1810); a Lady, wearing white décolleté dress circa 1840, trimmed with a corsage of blue flowers, her blonde hair centrally parted and worn in ringlets framing her face, gilt-metal frames.
