A Chinese embroidered dragon panel
Featuring a central front facing five-clawed dragon chasing a flaming pearl, flanked by four dragons in profile, all worked in couched gold threads, on a golden yellow silk satin ground scattered with chrysanthemums and scrolling foliage, edged to the bottom and top edges with a border of crashing waves and rocky outcrops, backed with pale pink silk damask, 70.5 x 193cm.
