the case of arched form and surmounted by a fluted handle, with a compass fitted to the top, inscribed to the top SERGT MAJOR BROWN FROM CAPTN W. HIGSON 4TH QUEENS OWN HUSSARS SEPR 1891 the front with a silvered barometer scale and a timepiece with silvered dial with Roman numerals, the movement with a balance spring, raised on a marble plinth, 23.5cm high.
