A good third quarter of the 18th Century mahogany longcase clock,
John Yates, Liverpool,
the broken architectural pediment over verre eglomise panels, freestanding columns and a moulded throat over the long shaped door flanked by quarter columns on a base with applied panel, the 12 inch arched brass dial with Roman and Arabic chapter ring signed in a silvered recessed date boss at VI, with recessed seconds ring, the movement with anchor escapement and rack strike on a bell, 2.39m (7ft 10ins) high.
