A good late Victorian carved burr oak metamorphic patent davenport "The Eclipse"
The sprung rising top reveals a writing slope and compartments with original books and silver inkwells,the interior flaps with tooled leather pads, calendar and lacquered brass patent hinges numbered 7254 and 37871 and with Bramah lock and key, fitted with three fielded panel side drawers and three dummy drawers on acanthus carved pilasters raised on castors, 58.5cm wide x 60cm deep x 81cm high, (23" wide x 23.5" deep x 31.5" high)
