An 1822 Pattern Grenadier Officer's Levee Sword
81.5cm pipe back blade by Moore & Co, Sword Cutler & Army Accoutrement Makers to Her Majesty and Board of Ordnance, etched on each side within a panel with crowned VR cypher, foliage, and a flaming grenade, regulation copper gilt gothic hilt incorporating Royal cypher, folding inner guard, the pommel inset with small ivory panel, wire bound fish skin grip, in its leather scabbard with its engraved copepr mounts, the locket with frog stud and applied with plaque with maker's name and address, complete with sword knot with faded crimson and gold strap and bullion tassel embroidered with the Royal cypher and flaming grenade.
