A Georgian Silver Mounted Infantry Officer's Sabre
68.5cm unfullered blade double edged towards the point, etched, blued and gilt with foliage, stands of arms, crowned GR cypher and Royal Arms all within frost etched panels, silver hilt with D-shaped knuckleguard and double langets, the backpiece engraved 'Edward Batchelor, Major, H.E.I.C.S.' and the knuckleguard engraved 'Died November 9th 1831', chequered ivory grip, in its tooled leather scabbard with small engraved silver mounts with suspension ring.
