A Regimental 1821 Pattern Heavy Cavalry Officer's Sword of the Royal Horse Guards
85.5cm blade by Henry Wilkinson Pall Mall London numbered 36912 for 1899, etched with scrolls, crowned VR cypher and Royal Arms, and within a panel the owner's initials A.V.H.V-L., Royal Horse Guards, patent solid hilt with regulation steel scroll guard, wire bound chequered horn grip, complete with a crimson cloth faced buff liner, in its steel scabbard with two suspension rings.
