The Royal Berkshire Yeomanry Cavalry Trooper's Helmet c1875-1914
A fine example, the white metal skull with brass trim and similar spine and frontal band. The star pattern frontal plate in brass with white metal and brass overlays, these comprise a title strap, 'Royal Berks Yeomanry Cavalry' enclosing the star and crescent emblem from the arms of Hungerford. Correct 1847 pattern brass plume holder and base complete with a falling white horse hair plume. Brass rose pattern side ornaments and a leather lined brass chin chain. Original black leather sweatband and liner.
