A Georgian Officer's Sabre
72.5cm blade by W. Ketland & Co, Birmingham, etched blued and gilt with foliage and stands of arms, ornate copper gilt stirrup hilt, the knuckle guard cast and pierced with a plumed classical helmet amdidst a union spray, the pommel embossed with oak leaves, the star shaped langets each embossed with a plumed classical helmet, carved and chequered ivory grip, in its copper scabbard engraved with panels of oak leaves and acorns against a stippled ground, two suspension rings.
