Painted, gilded snd relief decorated with Chinese figures, prunus and foliage on a green ground, the hood with a caddy top surmounted by three ball and spire finials and enclosing a signed 12.5" brass dial with foliate and urn pierced spandrels, silvered chapter ring, seconds subsidiary dial, date aperture and central matted ground, the long trunk door with lenticle, the 8 day, 4 pillar movement with anchor escapement, striking on a bell, extensively restored, particularly lacquer-work, later elements including seat-board and back-boards, 227cm high
