An extraordinary collection all massed and displayed upon a gold lace lined blue velvet shield shaped design. This in turn is set within an attractive wool-work panel, subsequently framed and glazed. A wide selection of badges include shako plates, glengarries, cavalry NCO's arm badges, caps, collars, s/titles and sweetheart brooches. The former comprise an 1855 pattern example to the West London Rifles (1859-1861), and a c1861 style example to the 13th Madras Infantry. Glengarries to the 1st VB The Warwickshire Regiment (QVC cross pattern) Kamaon Battalion (?) ('KB' within a coiled bugle horn) KOSB (QVC) Black Watch SWB (regimental pattern) Black Watch (QVC) 1st VB The Leicestershire Regiment 1st Northants RVs. QVC period caps include Loyal North Lancs 16th Lancers 19th Middlesex (Bloomsbury Rifles) (two small Guelphic crowned issues) KOYLI (Smasher hat) Royal Irish Rifles DLI The Yorkshire Regiment East Surrey Connaught Rangers (2) Essex Royal Irish South Staffs Cameronians (piper's) Northants Dorsetshire Rifle Brigade (small Guelphic) Suffolk Royal Fusiliers KRRC (2) RAMC. All other non-crown issues have lug fasteners. Other interesting headdress badges include 1st Bn The Hampshire Regiment (Foreign Service badge) Burma Railway Police, an unknown Welsh RV example Southern Rhodesia Volunteers, an unknown Scottish RV item, Coldstream & Scots Guards Boer War period items. NCO's arm badges to the 21st Lancers Royal Scots Greys and Prince of Wales's crest and motto type (none are Hall Marked). QVC collars, singles unless noted include, 15th Hussars ASC 4th Hussars 13th Hussars Queensland Mounted Infantry 20th Hussars Coldstream & Irish Guards (Boer War period) 5th Lancers (pair) 6th Dragooon Guards 21st Lancers (last pattern) 18th Hussars Derbyshire Regiment HMRR home Counties, 7th Hussars Bays 5th Dragoon Guards Warwicks RVs Devons (pair) 7th Dragoon Guards New South Wales Military Forces QOR West kents HLI 9th Lancers Warwicks (1881-86) 1st VB Leicesters. Shoulder titles, DG Rand Rifles BSAP BNP RIR grenade/ struts/RWF Cheshire with collar applied above Cornwall RR SRV APC (large) 40/Pathans. Sweethearts, QVC 5th Lancers on circular back, 12th Lancers. Plus various standard line infantry collars and other interesting items. Apart from three bi-metal collar badges and other plated or white metal issues, all items were silver plated before mounting. Inspection imperative.
