A very rare second quarter of the 18th century mahogany barometer, dated 1832

The slim trunk of good figure and shaped to the left-hand side to accommodate the half-circular dial, ranging in scale from 28.5 inches to 30.5 inches and reading to one twentieth of an inch via the single hand, further set with a recording hand adjusted via a knob in the centre of the trunk, the dial signed in a curve radiating from the centre 98cms (38.5ins) high.
