18-jewel manual wind movement signed 'Observatory Quality' to the bridge, champagne dial with silvered dagger hour markers and Arabic numeral quarters, outer minute track with applied dot markers at five minute divisions, silvered baton hands, subsidiary dial at 6 for running seconds, round polished stainless steel case, exaggerated stepped bezel, screw down Oyster crown recessed in to case, fixed bars integrated into case, screw down Oyster case back, fitted brown leather strap, case dial and movement signed

    It is described as 'Stainless steel two-piece Rolex Oyster with exaggerated, wide stepped bezel. Movement 8-3/4" Hunter. Signed "Observatory Quality." Movement also numbered 8286. This style of watch, sometimes known as the "lifesaver" was the first exaggerated style Rolex Oyster. 18 jewels.'
