a varied selection of cards with ink inscriptions, including receipts for agricultural payments; on card with "Good for ten pounds of bread" (translated from the French; another card with "Cristofle Sardy of Petit Lens was taken by surprise and at his abode were found 25 faggots for weighing. Mr le President has taken them as a surety because they were put in his vineyard"...
