the octagonal top with intricate filigree-work in ivory, and alternate chess squares in ivory and tortoiseshell, over an ornately carved sandalwood column raised on three scrolled feet, the miniature ivory chessmen stained red and left natural,
the table 22cm high, 26.5cm wide, the chessmen approx. 2.8cm high.
