Canton, circa 1820,
one side stained red, the other side left natural, kings and queens as Emperor and Empress, bishops as mandarins, knights as horsemen, rooks as elephants with flags, pawns as foot soldiers, in an oblong wooden box,
the king 9cm high, the pawn 4.3cm high.
