playing a good selection of folk airs, waltzs and polkas, with single-spring motor, stamped single-section comb on plain brass bedplate in red stained interior, tunesheet inside the lid with original loose card from Wales & McCulloch entitled Instructions Respecting Musical Boxes, in mahogany case with triple boxwood stringing to plain lid top - 18in. (46cm) wide, the cylinder 11in. (28cm)

    The last air, The Row Polka, has it's melody replicating that of the popular nursery rhyme "1,2,3-4-5, Once I Caught a Fish Alive".
