with suspended sur-plateau movement playing a single air, spring-barrel side with eight single teeth, the other side with nine each of highly polished steel, on circular brass bedplate, in circular locket case with a bust-length watercolour on ivorine portrait of a gentleman, behind bevelled glass and knurled gold surround, the movement cover with oval painted enamel scene of chalets beside a mountain stream with tree-lined banks, within laurel-wreath crest with lime green enamel infils, baulle enamels in black concealing female winding stem, the frame with full rondo cat's eye frieze in clipper blue enamel, start/stop slide to edge, with a gilt male key - 1.1/2in. (4cm) diameter
