with the craftsman seated cross-legged on short table, stitching the side of a stiped waistcoat, with composition head and hands, wearing cushion fez, shirt, waistcoat and breaches, section of room modelled as a corner behind, later covered base, the key-wind movement when actuated making his needle hand move forward, separate cam for backwards, head nod and turn side-to-side from reconstructed four-cam drive, in oval ebonised base with start/stop to right-hand side, under rectangular glass dome, (no key) - 18.1/2in.
