Antique Medical Instruments, E. Bennion, pp.249-250.

It was not uncommon for tooth pullers to tour the battlefields of Waterloo after the war in search of suitable materials to use. These 19th century teeth use real tooth material, which may have been part of earlier stock, reused once the wearer passed on.
