playing a polka, quadrille and waltzes, with single-spring motor, the single-section stamped comb flanked by 18 tooth drum and 8 tooth bell combs, on plain polished brass bedplate, the movement with controls to right-hand side of red-stained interior, interesting period D. Lecoultre tunesheet, in grained transitional slotted case, underside with mesh soundhole for drum (drum missing but hammer rack and linkages present), with rosewood veneered lid bearing geometric stained fruitwood inlay of instrument ensemble within swagged crest, triple strung framing, with a key - 17.3/4in. (45cm) wide, the cylinder 10.1/4in. (26cm)
